A program aimed at young Children was successfully concluded by the Program Department of Sri Lanka Anti Narcotics Association at Ruth Child Development Center, Dehiwala. This program was for the school going children who are in the ages of 13 -18 years.
The program had its opening with a slide explaining what is a drug, and its definition. Later on, the presentation flowed to forms of drugs, effects of drugs and how to be alert without getting addicted to drugs.
Finally, the children were taught how to confront a problem, without making drugs
an answer, by taking real life incidents, for demonstration.
The 30 children, who enthusiastically participated on the above program, thanked SLANA for making them aware on such hazards.
