A new dimension to SLANA was the “Fun Window”- Holiday Camp which was organized by the SLANA, Program Department. It was a program organized for the purpose of motivating, increasing efficiency, productivity and encourage the management of stress positively, through the development of aesthetic skills.
Twenty Students in the grades of 8, 9 and 10 of Parakramabahu Vidyalaya, Narahenpita participated in this three day program. The first day on” Paper Quil ing” provided the skill of hand work and creative thinking. The demonstration of the resource person taught the method which then led to an opportunity to come up with their innovation, ending the session with motivated and strengthening talents of the students.
The Kandyan Dancing open stage on the 2nd day introduced the students to new dancing methods and drumming techniques which helped the enhancement of their learning on the subject at the school.
The 3rd and the final day focused on Personality Development which introduced socially acceptable norms of etiquette, stress management, peer pressure and decision making skills.
